Patch lining Repairs are a highly cost-effective remediation solution offering a structural and watertight localised drain repair.
The process:
Using a robotic CCTV Camera locate the precise area with the defect being in the centre of the patch.
Once the correct location is found a fibreglass matting is then impregnated with a silicate resin and attached to a large rubber tube with sealed ends. This with the attached patch is manoeuvred into position and then inflated following a set procedure to the required pressure.
Following a monitored process, the inflation results in the patch being calibrated against the existing pipe work, to form the watertight localised patch repair.
Benefits of a patch lining repair:
- · Cost effective.
- · High temperature resistance
- · Excellent chemical resistance compared to all other pipe repair resins.
- · Water-glass based Poly silicate resin for strength and flexibility due to unique cross- linked molecular formula
- · Able to cure in the presence of water, for no washout during installation.
- · Excellent bonding properties to most materials
- · Excellent migration properties between the resin and fibreglass mat, for consistent impregnation
- · Non-flammable, so ideal for airports, hospitals, stations, and other public places
- · Non-hazardous and completely inert once mixed, so no transport or disposal problems
- · Odourless, so ideal in confined spaces.
- · These one-meter sections can be installed with no disruption to any operational requirements currently needed.
